Bristol Community College names new vice president

Bristol Community College has appointed April Lynch of Somerset as vice president of Strategy and Innovation.

 

The new leadership role will focus on institutional priorities, organizational performance and innovation, according to a community announcement. Lynch will oversee implementation of the college's strategic plan and provide executive leadership on strategic initiatives across the institution.

 

Her responsibilities include project management, organizational learning, assessment, professional development and college programming. The position also is intended to strengthen data-informed decision-making and support partnerships that align with the college's strategic priorities and regional goals.

 

Lynch brings more than two decades of experience at Bristol Community College. During her tenure, she has served as an adjunct instructor, associate professor of Business Administration, director of the Academic Center for Entrepreneurship, strategic fellow, chief of staff and chief strategy officer.

 

In addition to her academic leadership experience, Lynch has owned and operated businesses in manufacturing, marketing communications and strategic branding.

 

She also serves on the boards of the Southeastern Economic Development Corporation and the Fall River Deaconess Home. Lynch is participating in the LEAD SouthCoast program, which is designed to strengthen leadership skills and community engagement.
