Two Fall River men plead guilty on federal cocaine, fentanyl charges

Category: Local Sports

Two Fall River men pleaded guilty on federal drug distribution charges this week, with one also pleading guilty to drug conspiracy and firearm charges, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

On Oct. 7, Wilson Colon-Tirado, 34, pleaded guilty to three counts distributing 40 or more grams of fentanyl, a count of conspiring to distribute controlled substances and a count of being a felon possessing a firearm after an investigation involving controlled buys at the Sunset Hill public housing development in Fall River.

On Oct. 5, Antonio Calderon, 44, pleaded guilty to four counts of distributing 28 grams or more of crack cocaine after an investigation involving controlled buys at a strip mall in the north end of the city.

Court documents do not indicate any connection between the two men. They were charged separately. They were investigated by the same agent in the Bridgewater field office of the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

Colon-Tirado had a co-conspirator who was charged after the same investigation: on Sept. 22, Antonio Dossantos-Tirado, 36, of Brockton, pleaded guilty to one count of distributing 28 or more grams of crack cocaine and one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances.

Colon-Tirado and Calderon are scheduled to be sentenced in early 2027.

Calderon’s cocaine charge carries a sentence of five to 40 years. Colon-Tirado’s fentanyl charge carries a sentence of five to 40 years, while his conspiracy charge carries a sentence of up to 20 years and his firearm charge carries a sentence of up to 15 years.

Both men have criminal histories: Calderon has 13 convictions, including for trafficking cocaine, which led to a sentence of 10 to 15 years in state prison. Colon-Tirado has “at least” 32 criminal convictions, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, including one for cocaine trafficking that led to a state prison sentence of two to three years.

According to unsealed affidavits filed by an ATF investigator, a cooperating witness recorded video and audio during buys from Colon-Tirado and Calderon.
